This study is to analyze current situation of out-of-school children highlighting on its underlying characteristic features.

Assignment Description

The study has covered out of school children of age 3-14 years. • The study also used international reports on the approaches to the identification of out of school children and draws its implication from it in the Nepalese context. • A detailed review of relevant pervious studies was carried out. • Based on the outcome of the study, the consultant has suggested measures to be adopted by the concern agencies and institutions • Pre-tested research tools were used while conducting the study. • Assess the magnitude and characteristics of out-of-school population by ethnicity, age, gender, and geographic location. • Assess the reasons why school age children are out-of-school. • Critically analyze current situation of out-of-school children suggesting ways to bring them into mainstream education so that the EFA and MDG goals could be met.
