Analysis and Evaluation of Health Policy

Project Description

The objective of the proposed study is to analyze and evaluate the existing health policy and recommend required policies for its implementation with prioritization.

Assignment Description

Review and analysis existing health sector related policies and strategies and their implementation, • Analyze and understand the consistency between the existing policies and programs, • Review and identify the lacking and weaknesses in the existing acts, regulations, and guidelines etc., which are fundamental requirements for the implementation of the policies, • Identify the policies which are not being implemented, • Evaluate whether the inter sectoral coordination has been made in the implementation of Cross-Cutting Issues, • Review and identify the gaps and lacunae between existing policies and programs, between programs and fundamental requirements for its implementations and between health policy and other sectoral policies, • Good understanding of the health sector, • Include the activities like desk study data/map collection, developing of the appropriate formats and questionnaire including a comprehensive work program schedule, • Recommend the integrated steps to be taken for the improvement of the existing policies, acts, and program implementation process and also recommend suggestions, • Familiarize with the other sectoral policies, short, medium and long term plans, existing acts and regulations cross cutting issues and the linkages between health sector and other sectors, • Interact and make necessary consultations with health sector related officials, • Analyze and interpret the existing policies, acts, rules and regulations along with cross cutting issues.
