The aim of the study is to analyse and evaluate existing transport policies and to recommend and priorities implementing measures. The study broadly encompasses the transport sector, the study specifically examines the main transport sub-sectors: the Road Transport. The roads sub-sector is predominant transport mode and will necessarily remain the principal transport mode in the foreseeable future and thus warrant in-depth analysis. The second important to road in the transport sector is the civil aviation sub-sector. However, the sector is closely linked with the tourism and has traditionally been addressed, including in the Tenth Plan, within the framework of overall tourism sector planning. Therefore the study concentrates on the road sub-sector.
