Baseline and Endline Survey and Monitoring Support for the Implementation of “The Project for Support for Improvement of School Management Phase II (SISM2)”

Project Description

The overall objective is to study the validity of the SISM package by comparing the data/ information before the intervention and after the intervention, and to extract the lessons which will be used for the improvement of the package. The Baseline and Endline Survey was conducted in 10 selected Districts (200 Schools) and the detailed data required was collected through questionnaires.

Assignment Description

Baseline Survey: The overall objective is to study the validity of the SISM package by comparing the data/ information before the intervention and after the intervention, and to extract the lessons which will be used for the improvement of the package. The Baseline Survey was conducted in 10 selected Districts (200 Schools) and the detailed data required was collected through questionnaires. • Baseline survey of selected/targeted districts, in the areas related to school management; • Detailed School Base- line Survey in all 10 districts of all 4 regions, total 29 VDCs and 200 Schools • Information collection at Government offices including, VDCs, DDCs, DEOs • Mobilization of District Field Supervisor (DFS) and Field Enumerators to respective Districts. • Data entry, documentation, required table generation from questionnaire for report preparation • Supporting the collection, translating and inputting the data of monitoring reports End-line Survey: The End-line Survey was conducted in 11 selected Districts (10 old +1 new district) (220 Schools) and the detailed data required was collected through questionnaires. • End-line survey of selected/targeted districts, in the areas related to school management; • Detailed School End-line Survey in 11 districts (10 old +1 new district) of 4 development regions, 31 VDCs including 1 municipality (Bhaktapur) and 220 Schools • Information collection at District and VDC level Government offices including VDCs, DDCs and DEOs • Mobilization of District Field Survey Managers and Field Enumerators to the respective Districts. • Monitoring of the entire survey to assess the overall status and to draw field impression followed by back checking and verification with the data source, observation of the task carried out by the DSMs and enumerators. • Data entry, documentation, required table generation from questionnaire for report preparation • Supporting the collection, translating and inputting the data of monitoring reports
