Baseline Survey for Community Development Capacity Index Assessment/ Empowering Rural Communities in Nepal Through an Integrated Approach to Health and Income Growth

Project Description

The project titled as “Empowering Rural Communities in Nepal” is an initiative of KOICA through an integrated approach to health and income growth with the total budget of US$ 4.7 million for 5 years.
The main goal of this project is to improve the living standard of community people through enhanced access to outreach centers, participatory health and rural development programs, and income generation opportunities. The project has set 3 outputs i.e. increased income, improved health and increased community capacity of communities of project areas.

Assignment Description

Consultative meeting with the Empowering Rural Communities in Nepal through an integrated approach to health and income growth project team • Prepare Community Development Index (CDI) score guide and scenario script • Finalization of the Questionnaire I Checklist used during field works • Conduct group session with identified actors in the 3 communities (Manekharka, Sindhupalchok, Salambu, Kavrepalanchok, and Puttar, Tanahu ) to decide CDI scores • Field Data collection in following : • Dhulikhel Hospital, community program department • ORC/ Health center - 3 nos. • Group for Health promoting School - 9 nos. • Group for FCHV - 3 nos. • Cooperatives - 9 nos. • Transcription of field data and Tabulation • Data Summarization and Reporting
