Conducting Capacity Enhancement Activities for Government Agencies on Institutionalization and Operationalization of GRB in the Context of Aid Effectiveness Agenda (Training and Workshop)

Project Description

The focus of the project is on Gender Responsive Budgeting linking with the aid effectiveness agenda for contributing to gender equality. Following are the objectives of this initiative:
• Enhance the capacity of personnel working in planning, programming and budgeting of relevant government agencies for integrating GRB approach and linking with aid effectiveness.
• Set up a forum for dialogue on gender, Aid Effectiveness national policies and international instruments with participation from government, civil society and donors.
• Develop a strategy for systemic involvement of civil society and women’s groups in government budgetary process.

Assignment Description

Following activities have been proposed as per the decision of GRBC under this initiative. • Orientation to GRBC members on linking GRB with aid effectiveness agenda and impact on gender equality (2 days*15 Persons). • Consultation and setting up a forum for dialogue on gender, AE national policies, and international instruments between government, civil society, and donors (1 day* 30 Persons). • Joint meeting (MoF, NPC, MWCSW, and UNIFEM) with donors to seek donors commitment to funding for capacity building by designing capacity development plan and funding requirement on Gender, AE and international instruments (1 days*30 Persons). • Conduct training on capacity building for stakeholders and partners on linking AE, GE and national and international instruments (2 days*30 Persons). • Workshop to develop a strategy for systemic involvement of civil society and women’s groups in government budgetary process (1 days*30 Persons). • Develop media and advocacy strategy for GRB linking with AE
