Survey for Second Round of Nepal National Health Accounts (NNHA)

Assignment Description

The works carried out in the detail are; • Conducted an expenditure survey to estimate the private hospital/nursing home expenditure, expenditure of -for profits and not-for profits (NGOs and INGOs) organizations on health sources, functions, providers and levels as per the NNHA framework. • A total of 65 NGOs from 13 districts, 12 INGOs from 10 districts, 25 private hospitals and nursing homes from 8 districts were visited during the study period. Field supervisors and enumerators having past experience on field survey works were mobilized for field data collection in each district. • All the information collected from the field survey was computerized using data entry format. Computer software was used for further data processing. Data collected from the health service providers were processed and the average amount of expenditure was calculated as per the scope of work of the study. • Participated in different meetings held during the period of the study and taking into account all the suggestions received from the Client and others. • Analyzed the available information collected from the field visit and prepared Inception, Draft and Final Reports and submitted to the Client.
