The Micro-Enterprise Development Programme (MEDEP), supported by the Ministry of Industry (Nepal Government) and the United Nations Development Programme in Nepal, is a multi-lateral donor funded poverty reduction initiative since 1998 that basically supports GoN’s poverty reduction efforts at the grass-root levels by identifying the poorest of the poor. The target groups under MEDEP are poor people, especially women, Indigenous Nationalities, Dalit, Muslim, Other Madhesi groups. MEDEP has been involving these target groups in the micro-enterprises. The main objective of this study is to carry out;
• Prepare a policy document based in the review of the existing policy gaps in MEDEP implementation.
