Project Description

Detailed Engineering Survey, Design, Preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) was carried out for the Project Road (i) Detail Engineering Survey, Design of Road and Report Preparation (DPR) of following Roads in Solukhumbu and Khotang Districts under Contract number PMEU/33701123/079/80/DPR-05: (i) Diktel – Bakachoi (DB) Road Section of Diktel -Solu – Junbesi – Khahare – Jiri Bazaar -Tamakoshi – Charikot – Khadichaur of NH – 23 (50.50Km) and (ii) Bakachoi (DB)-Salleri Road Section of Diktel -Solu – Junbesi – Khahare – Jiri Bazaar -Tamakoshi – Charikot – Khaadichaur of NH – 23 (39.00Km). The objectives of the project is to carry out review of existing road and its corridor, detailed engineering survey and design of road including pavement design and other structures, preparation of contract document and detailed project report (DPR) of mentioned road sections.

Assignment Description

Review of existing reports, standards and specifications of road sector related to assignment • Review and update of existing reports and detail design reports previously carried out. • Conduct detail engineering survey of the alignment and its corridor. • Carry out traffic studies and project the traffic volume for 20 years design period. • Conduct detail hydrological studies to propose the suitable longitudinal and cross drainage Structures. • Conduct pavement Investigation works (Including DCPT and Confirmatory CBR Tests) for pavement design works. • Choose economically feasible pavement type within the corridor including design of road detail with pavement types. • Identify source of construction materials of appropriate quality and determine the quantity of materials permitted to be taken from the different sources. • Conduct environmental and social study and prepare the respective report. • Recommend for improvement on alignment (Wherever required on technical aspects). • Prepare detail working drawing in AutoCAD. • Prepare detail cost estimate with analysis of rates, contract packaging and tender document preparation. • Prepare Detail Project Report (DPR) for complete road stretches included in the package.
