The Bishnumati Link Road (BLR) lies within the heart of Kathmandu. The BLR starts from Teku Bridge in Kalimati and links Thamel – Balaju road at Sorkhutte Chowk. Southern extension of BLR starts from Teku Bridge section running along the west bank of bishnumati river upto Balkhu Bridge on Ring road.
The Approximate length of proposed road is about 2 Km. the road shall be constructed as 4 lane urban roads with footpaths on both sides and additional facilities for pedestrians. A motorable bridge is to be constructed over Manamati river, a tributary of Bishnumati river approximately 200m downstream of existing Teku Bridge at Kalimati-Teku road.
