Project Description

Sidhuwa Sukrabare Myanglung Road: The proposed road Sidhuwa Sukrabare Myaglung Road, Dhankuta, Terhathum starts at Sidhuwa Bazzar In Dhankuta district and ends at Myaglung Bazzar Terhathum district. The total length of this section is 38.400 Km. Total Project cost NRs. 1,881.52 million.
Myaglung Tudikhel Tamar Road: The proposed road The section Myaglung Tudikhel Tamar Road , starts at Myaglung Bazzar and ends at Tamar river with total length of 18.640Km. Total Project Cost is NRs. 846.27 million.
Jirmle Sandhkpur Samalbunga Sima Road: The proposed road Jirmle Sandhkpur Samalbunga Sima Road, Illam section starts at Krishnanagar and ends at Gairibas Gaun. All the roads are proposed for the construction to “ultimately” blacktopped standard, which will provide the transportation facility specially to the people of the district. The road will further help to link the district to the district headquarter, the regional headquarter, the capital city along with some other renown market cities of Nepal and ultimately will connect with India. The road will ultimately help to develop the macro and sectoral including the social and economic status. Detail Survey and Design work and Detailed project Report to be carried out for the full Project Road Length 70.4 Km. Total Project Cost NRs. 5,071 million.
The objectives of the project is to prepare Detailed Project Report of full length of all three Project Road based on detailed design and total cost for construction; preparation of detailed engineering survey and design of Road (excluding bridges), Social and environmental aspects, which includes preparation of Resettlement Plan, Environmental Management Plan and Social Development Plan and Economical aspect of Project.

Assignment Description

Review existing reports, standards and specification of the road sector related to assignment • Review and Update existing Report and detail design Reports previously carried out. • Consultation with concerned Road Office, Geo Environmental and social Unit, Regional Directorates and other concerned offices for information and data collection. Prepare the topographical map of the corridor • Detailed engineering survey of the alignment and its corridor(Sidhuwa Sukrabare Myanglung Road (38.4Km), Myaglung Tudikhel Tamar (18.64 Km) & Jirmle Sandhkpur Samalbunga Sima Road, (70.4Km) • Conduct hydrological studies for cross drainage works and purpose the suitable cross drainage structures • Carry out traffic surveys and project the traffic volume for 20 years period • Choose economically feasible pavement type within the study corridor including design of the road detail with pavement types • Carried out detail engineering design of road using computer Aided Design (CAD) Software. • Prepare practical and cost effective geometric (horizontal, vertical, intersection etc.), pavement and structural designs on the basis of projected traffic levels, pavement structure studies as determined from activities above and from previous studies and Reports from different agencies. • Identify sources of construction materials of appropriate quality, determine the quantities of material permitted to be taken from different source. • Prepare concise IEE (Initial Environmental Examination) Report Social Study Report. • Wherever required on technical ground, recommend for improvement on alignment • Prepare working drawings in AutoCAD. • Prepare cost estimates with analysis of rates, contract Packaging and tender document preparation. • Prepare Detail survey and design reports with necessary drawings. • Prepare Detailed Project Report for complete Road Length Prepare Detail survey and design reports with necessary drawings. • Prepare Detailed Project Report for complete Road Length.
