The Dwari river (> 50 m.) bridge site is located over Dwari khola at Doti district in the far western region of Nepal. The project consisted of Detailed engineering survey, soil investigation and design of the bridge. (Total Project Cost NRs. 35.5 million)

Assignment Description

The service rendered included: • Site selection of the bridges • Detailed hydrological investigation for the flood flow in the river by using different approaches, HFL calculation using HEC-RAS 2.2, scour depth calculation • Detailed topographical survey of the bridge site • Geotechnical investigation, evaluation of bearing capacity and foundation analysis • Detailed design of bridges • Design of approach roads • Design of river training and protection works • Preparation of drawings • Cost estimation • Preparation of special provision
