Project Description

The Chipleti river (36 m.) bridge site is located over Panpa khola at Birendranagar VDC of Chitwan district in the central region of Nepal, the Andhi river (102.4 m.) bridge site is located over Andhi khola along the Syangja bazaar-Panchamal road in Syangja District and Banjariya river (51.5 m.) bridge site is located over Turiya Khola along the Parasi-Banjariya Road in Rupandehi District in the western development region of Nepal. The project consisted of Detailed engineering survey, soil investigation and design of the bridges.

Assignment Description

The service rendered included: • Site selection of the bridges • Detailed hydrological investigation for the flood flow in the river by using different approaches, HFL calculation using HEC-RAS 2.2, scour depth calculation • Detailed topographical survey of the bridge site • Geotechnical investigation, evaluation of bearing capacity and foundation analysis • Detailed design of bridges • Design of approach roads • Design of river training and protection works • Preparation of drawings • Cost estimation • Preparation of special provision
