Project Description

The Jhupra bridge (18.50 m.) site is located over Jhupra Khola at Jarbutta VDC of Surkhet district in the mid-western development region of Nepal, the Kailash Khola (54 m.) bridge site is located over Kailash Khola along the Sanfebagar-Mangalsen road in Achham District and Igadigad (75.04 m.) bridge site is located over Igadigad Khola along the Sanfebagar Martadi Road in Bajura District in the far-western development region of Nepal. The project consisted of Detailed engineering survey, soil investigation and design of the bridges.

Assignment Description

The service rendered included: • Site selection of the bridges • Detailed hydrological investigation for the flood flow in the river by using different approaches, HFL calculation using HEC-RAS 2.2, scour depth calculation • Detailed topographical survey of the bridge site • Geotechnical investigation, evaluation of bearing capacity and foundation analysis • Detailed design of bridges • Design of approach roads • Design of river training and protection works • Preparation of drawings • Cost estimation • Preparation of special provision
