Development of Parcellary Map for Chandra Canal Irrigation system (CCIS)

Project Description

The CCIS is the oldest public irrigation system in Nepal with service area of more than 9655 ha. It is one of the subprojects under Irrigation Management Transfer Project. Development of Parcellary map of the system is one of the tools in strengthening WUAs for system management and on farm water management.

Assignment Description

The following services have been provided: • Transferring all irrigation infrastructure to cadastral map and preparing parcellary map, 1:2500 in CAD format (Compatible with GIS format) • Tabulation of land record parcel data of beneficiary farmers within the command area in computer database format (MS Access) • Inventory of canal structures such as headwork, head regulators, cross regulators, drainage structure, conveyance structure etc. • Survey of canal network and infrastructure of the system, their present status and recommendation for improvement. • Delineation of irrigated areas under various canal systems.
