The major works carried out are as follows:
• Review and assess the relevant report data, information, policy, programme about the said project.
• Carry out detailed topographic survey (from Jhayalbas to the confluence of Narayani River of Giruwari Khola) with longitudinal and X-sectional readings taken at an interval of 500m and 50m respectively. Carry out the river layout, reclaimed area layout river training structures layout, and flood mark survey simultaneously.
• Prepare L-sectional, X-sectional drawings and mark the highest flood level in past 10 years.
• Prepare a 1:10.000 scale topographic map showing present river channel reclaimed area river training structures with detail dimensions.
• Collect the overall information about the use of the reclaimed land and suggest in what ways such reclaimed land could be utilize effectively.
• Show all the locations of flood, erosion, debris flow control, measures carried cut during DMSP project period in the topographic map of scale 1:25000 and update in GIS Plateform.
• Conduct detailed technical, socio-economic river morphologic and environmental impact assessment adopting RRA and PRA methodologies within the project area and compare after and before the project situation.
• Analyse the effectiveness (positive or negative) of flood hazard map published in the project area. Also incorporate the suggestions from the farmers about this map if any.
• Quantify the outcome (in rupees) of the river training structures constructed during DMSP period.
• Analyze technical, socio-economic, river morphologic and environmental effectiveness of the model project
• Conduct conversation with the teachers and students of all Disaster Mitigation Education (DME) schools and present the impact of DME within the project area.
