Project Description

The Sokhu Khola Bridge (25 m span) site is located over Sokhu Khola of Khurkot-Ghungri Road in Sindhuli district in the eastern development region of Nepal. The project consisted of Feasibility study, detailed engineering survey, soil investigation, hydrological analysis and design of bridge.

Assignment Description

The service rendered included: • Site selection of the bridges • Feasibility study of bridges • Detailed hydrological investigation for the flood flow in the river by using different approaches, HFL calculation using HEC-RAS 2.2, scour depth calculation • Detailed topographical survey of the bridge site • Geotechnical investigation, evaluation of bearing capacity and foundation analysis • Detailed design of bridges • Design of approach roads • Design of river training and protection works • Preparation of drawings • Cost estimation • Preparation of Reports
