Feasibility Study of Banjariya Bridge, Kuriya Bridge, Telar Bridge and Tamghas Bridge

Project Description

The project is carried out in order to assess the technical and economic feasibility of construction of bridge along Telar River, Kuriya, of Rupandehi District, Banjariya VDC of Nawalparasi District along Turiya River and along the stream in Tamghas Bazar of Gulmi District.

The objective of the study is to check the feasibility of Bridge (s) and related river training works/s considering ling life and low maintenance cost. This study should also determine the geometry of bridge, type of foundation to be applied, and necessary measures of river training to prevent scouring of bed and river band erosion. It should further determine the availability of skilled manpower, construction material and the possible impact to the surrounding environment along with the mitigation measures that shall be studied in detail during the detail engineering study of the bridge.

Assignment Description

Conduct a detailed techno-economical study of the project, based on thorough and up-to-date field data as well as published and unpublished materials related to the project. • Perform techno- economical analysis of the data collected during the study, considering the impacts of the bridge to the present environment and also the case if the bridge site is shifted to other possible locations within a reasonable reach of the proposed bridge site. • Accuracy, interpretation, analysis of all the collected data received and for the conclusion and recommendations in the report. • Recommend type of bridge and its geometry, possible type of foundation to be adopted and the river training works to be adopted.
