Feasibility study of the Special Economic Zones in Dhangadhi of Kailali, Special Economic Zone Project

Project Description

The main objective of the assignment is to carry out feasibility study of the Special Economic Zone in Dhangadhi of Kailali district. The specific objectives are: to conduct detailed survey of the proposed site; to conduct detailed design and cost estimate of access road; to prepare preliminary design of infrastructures inside the SEZ; to identify economically viable types of industry in line with the concept of SEZ; to prepare cost estimates for required infrastructures; and prepare an IEE Report and get approval by the concerned Ministry.

Assignment Description

The consultant undertook the following works as stated under the Scope of Works in the Terms of Reference. • Collection, review and analysis of information of SEZ and the proposed site. • Market Study and analysis of viable business activities in the proposed SEZ • Engineering survey and design of physical facilities inside the proposed SEZ and access road • Initial Environmental Examination of SEZ • Financial evaluation • Institutional sustainability
