Initial Environment Examination of Charkhal Commercial cum Office Complex

Project Description

After conducting feasibility study in 1999, Department of Building proposed to construct seven stories modern Office cum Commercial Complex after demolition of old Charkhal Adda by lease agreement with private developer. The complex will have basement parking, office spaces for government and private office, shops, multipurpose halls, restaurant, lifts and escalators, bathrooms and other facilities. The estimated cost is about NRs. 230 million and estimated construction period is seven years

Assignment Description

Find out base line environmental condition of the proposed construction area • Find out the positive or negative impacts on various environmental resources due to construction and operation of the complex • Identification and recommend measures for minimizing environmental impacts from proposed construction.
