Department of Water Induced Disaster Prevention (DWIDP) intends to construct river embankment and protection works along the Kamala River from the south of East-West Highway to Indian border (about 35 km) with the grant assistance of Government of India. Different type of river training and flood protection works namely, levees, spurs, revetments, roads, bridges, drainages and sluices have been proposed under this project.
