Preparation of draft on Land Information System related Act

Project Description

The main objective of the study is to prepare appropriate draft for Land Information and Record Act in line with the spirit of Land Acts and Regulations specially Land Revenue Act, Land Act, Land Measurement Act, Muluki Ain and major other Acts’ provision on Electric Transaction Act-ETA and Geo Information flow related subjects on the basis of Information technology by collecting opinion of concerned stakeholders, agencies and experts.

Assignment Description

The main tasks carried out were: • To study the legal system endorsed by Land administration act including Electronic Transaction Act • Finding out the issue arise, while implementing the computerized land administration system following standard legal norm and addressing them in new draft legal act • To draft legal act including the material provide by department, stakeholder interaction and specialist suggestion appointed by the department • To draft legal act including the aspect of Technicalities of Computer system, confidentiality of information, security, responsibility and accountability of authorized body • Include the experienced and other primary & secondary data source of the country those implementing computerized digital technology for land administration in draft report • In the process of drafting act by Consultancy, organize different meeting, workshop seminar, etc including the profession, legal specialist, Information technology specialist, Land administration specialist and concerned stakeholder appointed by department.
