Project Description

The main objective of the works are as: Provide comprehensive urban and rural design guidelines for the private sector, public institutions such as the DDCs, VDCs and the municipal government for the development and redevelopment of the public and private components of the greater Janakpur area; Provide a policy framework to guide government and private investment in the Greater Janakpur Area; Prepare costs estimates, priority for improvement projects that are to be carried out by the GJADC and/or government agencies such as DDCs and municipalities; Take into account social and political issues and services in the development of the design guidelines and project recommendations.

Assignment Description

Preparation of comprehensive urban and rural design guidelines for the private sector, public institutions such as the DDCs, VDCs and the municipal government for the development and redevelopment of the public and private components of the greater Janakpur area. • identification of key additional above-ground infrastructure components and improvements to existing facilities, their costs and relative priority, that are required to achieve in the vision for the GJADC; • Preparation of policy framework to guide government and private investment in the Greater Janakpur Area; • Prepared costs estimates, priority for improvement projects that are to be carried out by the GJADC and/or government agencies such as DDCs and municipalities; • Recommended changes to GJADC policy and regulatory bylaws to facilitate the implementation of the Master Plan recommendations and the vision for Greater Janakpur Area; • Developed guidelines on the future growth of the religious tourism and cultural heritage and to recommend steps that can be taken to maximize the potential of the growth of this religious and cultural assets as a catalyst for Great Janakpur Area revitalization; • Drafting Master Plan of Greater Janakpur Area
