Preparation of Physical Development Plan and Program of Birtamod Small Town in Jhapa District

Project Description

The Government of Nepal has identified 132 small towns within the country, which are growing into major cities. The DUDBC has continuously studying these small towns for developing them into planned cities. The main objective of the study is to prepare a Physical Development Plans and Programmes for the small town and initiate planned growth and development and help in alleviating poverty within the villages.

Assignment Description

Study the existing socio-economical and physical condition of the small town area. • Identify the Issues, Problems & local people's needs by conducting socio-economic survey and market analysis. • Identify main income sources and potential resources, developable land, its constrains & opportunities of the small town. • Identify programs that are most necessary for the development and expansion of the small town. • Prepare conceptual building bye-laws, right of ways, and other standards. • Prepare Physical Development Plans and Programs keeping in view its needs, opportunities & constraints, by conserving and managing natural as well as cultural environment. • Prioritizing and allocating necessary budgets for the proposed short-term, mid-term and long-term plans and programs.
