Project Description

Review and Revision of Joint Apartment Ownership Act 2054 (1997) and Joint Apartment Ownership Regulation, 2060 (2003) in the context of increasing urbanization of cities and construction of apartments and operation of the same by the private sector industries.

Assignment Description

The Consultant carried out following tasks: • Review past acts, regulations and provisions made in the formation of similar acts and regulations by the Government of Nepal; • Review of GoN enacted acts, regulations and provisions that may be attracted in the revision of Joint Apartment Ownership Act 2054 (1997) and Joint Apartment Ownership Regulation, 2060 (2003); • Consultation with the stakeholders on the various provisions to be made in the Draft; and • Revision and recommendation on various aspects of the Joint Apartment Ownership Act 2054 (1997) and Joint Apartment Ownership Regulation, 2060 (2003) in addressing the present and future issues that may come in the construction, selling, ownership transfers and operation of joint apartment.
