Strengthening Land Administration Services

Project Description

The proposed overall goal of the Asian Development Bank Technical Assistance (TA) is to assist the government’s objective of an efficient, service-oriented and informative land administration system based on modern technology. The specific objectives of the TA are to (i) improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the land registration and management services, and (ii) help identify policy gaps and recommend a road map to address the gaps prevailing in the country.

Assignment Description

development of a comprehensive strategy for the use of information technology including application Geographic Information System (GIS) to support the completion of the computerization of cadastre and land registry services in high priority areas • ways of renovating, updating and production of digital cadastre and land registry information; • ways of improving customer services in land registry and cadastre offices including review of office work flow and development of process re-engineering; • development of a land records management strategy including making digital land registration and mapping information available to public and private entities • review of cadastral mapping; and • development of a roadmap for a comprehensive and consensual land policy framework
