Survey, Design and Construction Supervision of Agricultural Land Reclamation Works, Saptakoshi Flood-affected Rehabilitation

The Saptakoshi Flood-affected Rehabilitation Agriculture and Livestock Services Office (SFRALSO), supported by the Ministry of Agriculture Development (Government of Nepal) funded by Government of Nepal initiative since F.Y.065/066 that basically supports flood victim farmers of Saptakoshi River in Sunsari district by reclaiming the damaged agricultural land by Saptakoshi River flood. The purpose of this project is for rehabilitation, food security, and income generation support to Saptakoshi flood-affected farmers. The main objective of this study is to carry out.

Assignment Description

The scope of the work of proposed study shall include but not limited to the followings: • Asses the reclamation programs conducted earlier and plan the specified and/ or necessary works for remaining areas that can be appropriately reclaimed. • Detail survey, design and cost estimates of works (land leveling using heavy machinery, organic manure/ compost application, incorporation tillage, access road etc) and packaging of works for proper implementation. • Formation of Users' Committee for implementation of incorporation tillage operation. • Provide adequate control/ reference points to the contractor for setting out works to be done. • Inspection including sample testing of organic manure/ compost and field application to ensure that they comply with the specifications. • Supervision of construction (site layout, implementation, work measurement, and certification and acceptance of completed works) to ensure the quality as per specifications. • Provide photograph of the affected area (pre-work, during the work and post-work) shall be kept in work records and prepare visual documentary. • Develop land reclamation/ restoration through biological (agriculture, fodder, agro-forestry, fishery, livestock, compost manuring etc) measures.
