Assignment Description

The scope of the work is to assess the status of the proposed project with regard to technical, agricultural, social, managerial and economic aspects of the irrigation system and to develop a sound basis for decision making. The main tasks accomplished during the course of this study and report preparation are: • Collection and review of existing document and literature including Gandak treaty • Study about international river basin management system • Study on re-regulation system • Study of Irrigation in territory of Nepal • Study of Irrigation in territory of India • Study of Hydropower in Territory of Nepal • Study of Hydropower in Territory of India • Study on other Downstream Impact • Study on safety hazard • Study about Multiple use of water • Study on utilization of augmented flow • Flood Hazard Mapping of Trisuli River • Benefit cost Analysis of downstream water resources • Presentation of draft reports Presentation and submission of final reports as per TOR
